Wellness Aquatics

SAGUARO AQUATICS IS CELEBRATING OUR 16TH YEAR!

LOCATION: 5302 E Pima St, 85712

Welcome to the Saguaro Aquatics’ Wellness Aquatics Program! We offer Group and Private classes to address a variety of limitations and disabilities. Sessions are held in a salt water pool that is 91 degrees and ranges in depth from 3 – 5.5 feet. This program is the only activity at the pool during scheduled classes. The maximum group class size is 8. This is a private pay service. We do not accept insurance.

Regardless of age, past injuries or current conditions, most people feel better when in water, moving in a gravity reduced, warm environment – gaining confidence and wellness while having fun! Whether one is swimming or walking for exercise, much is gained physically and emotionally. Fitness and improved health when out of the water are obvious benefits from an individualized or group class. In a private setting or in a group class our experienced, patient staff will coach you on your road to recovery and wellness.

I graduated from the University of Oklahoma, and became a Physical Therapist with a secondary advanced degree in Gerontology. I moved to Tucson in 1999, drawn to the desert where water is so precious and revered. The land, the light and the people/culture are wonderful!! My formal Physical Therapy career continued first at St Mary’s, and I recently completed 15 years at a different Tucson Hospital Outpatient Rehab Clinic.

Although my Physical Therapy license does not come with me to Saguaro Aquatics as this is not a licensed therapy facility, it is impossible to leave behind my years of training and experience. I am excited to be a part of the Wellness Aquatics program at Saguaro Aquatics. I look forward to serving the Tucson community!
