Parent &Tot 1 - Saguaro Babies

The Saguaro Babies curriculum is designed to teach progressively challenging skills, building one skill on top of the last skill learned. This class is ideal for babies that are 6 months or older. In Saguaro Babies, the little swimmers gain confidence in the basics of swimming and water safety using a calm, encouraging approach to introducing skills. The curriculum and goals are emailed to participants at the start of each month so you know what to expect at each lesson and the goals of the focus skill for each week.

Parent & tot 2 - SAGUARO TOTS

When 18 months or older and completing Saguaro Babies, swimmers may join Saguaro Tots. The primary difference between Saguaro Babies and Saguaro Tots is the advanced version of skills that are presented in Saguaro Tots and the increased independence with which swimmers perform each skill. The goal of the Saguaro Tots class is to prepare swimmers to be water safe in more “real life” scenarios. Babies working directly with the instructor is highly encouraged in Saguaro Tots to prepare swimmers for joining group lessons without their parent/guardian. You will notice that the Saguaro Tots classes are not listed on our website. The reason for this is so we can ensure that before participating in Saguaro Tots, participants have the skills learned in Saguaro Babies and are at least 18 months of age.

Our coaches teach you how to teach your child the basics of swimming: bubbles, kickers, back floats, climb outs, entering and exiting the pool, and basic pool safety – in a fun and entertaining way. Our salt water pool is kept at 91 degrees. Join today to start your little one’s swimming career!

There is a $40 Registration Fee per family, per calendar year. Lessons are 30 minutes. Group Parent & Tot Lessons are $29/lesson for Monday to Thursday lessons and $36/lesson on Friday & Saturday (5% sibling discount off of lesson fees, discount does not apply to semi-private lesson fees). Start anytime. We enroll and charge based on the calendar month. Our office will pro-rate fees for mid-month starts prior to processing your payment. If you see a different price for a different day of the week, this is due to a difference in the number of that specific day of the week in the current month (for example, in January there may be more Mondays than Fridays so different monthly lesson fees will display in the class listing table).

As the Parent & Tot Manager, Coach Sammy leads our PT program with a strong focus on staff training, PT certifications, and the supervision of all in-water employees to ensure safe, high-quality lessons for our youngest swimmers. Sammy maintains positive relationships with PT families and supports coaches by reviewing swimmer skills and guiding graduation decisions from PT 1 to PT 2. With expert-level knowledge of the full Parent & Tot curriculum, Sammy upholds all Saguaro Aquatics policies and procedures while providing leadership that strengthens the Parent & Tot program every day.
