You will learn water acclimation, basic swim skills, safety skills and comfort thru a trainer, activity-oriented approach–coupled with unique skill progressions. During the Adult  Splash Program you will learn:

SAGUARO AQUATICS IS OPEN!!! We are currently offering privates and semi-Privates at this time, with modified facility procedures. Click HERE to go to our private lessons page for schedule, fees, and online registration. Hours of operation are Mon – Sat 10am – 7pm. Call or email – thank you!
There is a $35 Registration Fee per family, per calendar year. Group Swimming Lessons are $16/lesson for two day per week lessons and $18/lesson for one day per week (5% sibling discount off of lesson fees). Start anytime. We enroll and charge based on the calendar month and pro-rate for mid-month starts. We offer 1, 2 or 3 day per week lessons. Two days per week on either Mon/Wed or Tues/Thurs and one day per week on Saturdays. The lesson fees you see in the Class Listing tables below reflect a full month of lesson fees for the current month. Our office will pro-rate for mid-month starts prior to processing payment.

Lesson schedules for next month are posted on the 16th of the current month.

LEARN TO SWIM LEVELS

Our curriculum in the Learn to Swim Levels emphasizes proven Survival Skills that reduce the risk of drowning. Click the Levels below to see the Curriculum details and class Schedule. Click ENROLL on the left of a class listing to begin enrollment. You can also join a WAITLIST if the class you prefer is full.

In the Tumbleweed level, our beginner class, patient instructors introduce the water to each swimmer at their own pace. Every child will learn basic water skills that make swimming fun! Entry requirement is 3+ years of age.

Skills Learned in this Level

1-Happily Attending Lessons! 2-Going Under Water and 3-Blowing Bubbles 4-Relaxed Front Glide 5-Assisted Back Float 6-Independent “Monkey Walk” – walking with hands along the wall

Now that swimmers are comfortable in the water and look forward to attending lessons, our instructors will build their confidence further by presenting more challenging skills from our curriculum. The primary goals in the Teddy Bear Teddy Bear Cholla Level is to develop a STRONG Kick and a streamline swimming posture so that when we introduce Big Arms in the next level they have a strong kick to support their stroke. The entry requirements for the Teddy Bear Cholla level are the passing requirements for the Tumbleweed level.

Skills Learned in this Level

1-“Pop Corns” – rhythmically bouncing off the bottom while blowing bubbles and taking breaths
2-Kick Glide
3-Back Floats and Rollovers
4-Diving for Rings

The Golden Barrel Level is one of our most challenging levels. We teach kids to coordinate their arm and leg movements to form the basis for a Freestyle stroke. We also ask them to propel themselves on their back for the first time. The entry requirements for the Golden Barrel Level are the Passing Skills for the Teddy Bear Cholla Level.

Skills Learned at this Level

1-“Big Arms” Coordinated with Kickers 2-“Fining and Kicking” on Back 3-Independently Diving for Rings 4-Jump In and Back float

STROKE TECHNIQUE LEVELS

In Stroke School we teach the four competitive strokes, as well as Elementary Backstroke, Sidestroke, diving and treading. In preparation for swim team we incorporate the correct use of training equipment into the learning process of each stroke and skill.

The primary goal in the Prickly Pear Level is to learn side breathing – FREESTYLE. When swimmers pass this level they will be able to swim Elementary Backstroke and tread water, as well as swim technically correct Freestyle. Entry requirements for the Prickly Pear level are the Passing Skills in the Golden Barrel level.

1-Freestyle in good form 2-Tread Water for 1 minute 3-Elementary Backstroke

In the Joshua Tree Level students learn a very difficult stroke, the Breaststroke and proper turn. It takes a coordination and determination to learn the Breaststroke. Students will improve their swimming stamina while practicing the strokes learned in remedial levels. Entry requirements are the Passing Skills for the Blue Agave Level.

Skills Learned at this Level

1-Breaststroke in good form 2-Breaststroke Turns 3-Tread water for 3 minutes 4-Diving

In the Joshua Tree Level students learn a very difficult stroke, the Breaststroke and proper turn. It takes a coordination and determination to learn the Breaststroke. Students will improve their swimming stamina while practicing the strokes learned in remedial levels. Entry requirements are the Passing Skills for the Blue Agave Level.

At Saguaro Aquatics, Our Tot swimming Lessons Provide the basics of swimming in a fun,safe,self paced environment.You and your child will bond during the beginning stages of the learn-to-swim process.During their introduction to the water your little swimmer will explore and begin the process of Learning to Swim.
